John E. Baureis, Attorney at Law
John E. Baureis earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Communications in 2002 and his Juris Doctor degree in 2005 from the University of Arkansas. Afterwards, he served the citizens of Arkansas as Assistant Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and as a Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney throughout Arkansas. He has prosecuted and settled numerous instances of abuse and neglect in nursing homes throughout Arkansas. He assisted in the drafting of new legislation for the Arkansas Abuse of Adults Act in 2006, and he served on the Attorney General’s Legislative Team monitoring the Public Health Committee in 2007.
Passionate about client service and active community involvement, Baureis decided to leave the government sector to found Baureis Law Firm, PLLC, in Fayetteville. Currently, he spends part of his time assisting the Conflicts Division of the Northwest Arkansas Public Defender’s Association representing indigent clients. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Arkansas.
